홍익대학교 미술대학 및 동 대학원에서 서양화를 전공하고 연세대학교 외국어학당에서 영어과를 수학, 현재 프랑스 Paris에서 활동하고 있다.

정택영은 가사문학의 대가인 송강 정철(1536~93)선생의 직계후손이자, "향수"를 지은 정지용 시인의 고향인 옥천에서 그 가문의 후손으로 태어났다. 50’년대 초 격동의 시대에 태어나 이순에 다다른 그의 작품세계는 유년시절에 배워 익혔던 한문실력과 탄탄한 드로잉 표현능력을 기반으로 초기 극사실회화인 하이퍼리얼리즘 경향의 작업으로 출발하여, 서체의 획을 통한 우주와 삼라만상의 원리를 한자의 획으로 풀어나가는 색면대비와 운필의 획을 조화시키며 화면구성을 해왔으며, 이후 한국성의 모색으로 한국의 아이덴티티를 찾아 이를 현대적 해석으로 색면추상을 해온 단계에서 점차 색과 기호를 통한 형태의 단순화 과정을 거쳐 “기호와 상징을 통한 색면추상의 표현 경향”으로 ‘생의 예찬’이란 주제에 오랫동안 천착해오면서 오늘의 경향에 이르고 있다.

그의 근작들은 ‘빛과 생명’이란 대주제 아래, 사물과 그것을 에워싼 공간과의 관계와 그 속에 상존하고 있는 인간의 존재방식을 극히 절제된 색채와 형태의 단순화로 화면을 이루어나가고 있다.

이번 신작들에서 그는 ‘빛과 생명’을 주제로 모든 생명은 빛과 함께 존재하고 빛에 의해 생성, 성장, 번성한다는 인식 아래 기하학적, 자연적 유•무형의 형태와 형상들을 통해 삶과 빛과의 관계를 조형적으로 해석하고 있으며, “빛과 생명"의 근원적 모색을 향한 회화적이며 조형적인 표현을 위해, 여러 번 붓질을 반복하여 얻어낸 두꺼운 물감의 중첩층으로부터 중층구조를 떼어내 이를 다시 유기적이며 기하학적인 형태로 자르고 트리밍을 한 후 콜라주collage와 리터칭retouching 기법으로 화면을 재구성한다. 이를 통해 화면의 깊이를 견지하면서 사물들의 상징과 기호를 표현해내고 있다. 캔버스 안에서 색과 기호는 우주와 사물, 인간의 존재를 그대로 담아내고 있다. 이러한 그의 회화적 변용은 그가 자신이 겪고 체험했던 삶의 질곡을 통해 인간과 삶, 그리고 예술의 함수관계가 무엇이며, 삶 속에 예술의 의미는 무엇이며, 예술이란 인간의 삶에 무엇으로 영향을 끼치고 무슨 의미로 남는가를 깊이 성찰하는 데에 그의 작품세계의 핵을 이루고 있다.

그가 생활기반을 파리로 옮긴지 10여 년에 이르는 동안 그의 작품세계는 많은 변화를 가져왔는데, 무엇보다 화면의 단순화와 색의 절제는 그가 파리를 중심으로 한 멀티-컬처의 다문화가 혼재하면서도 상호 유기적이고도 보완적이며 상존하는 프랑스문화의 다변성과 다양성에서 영향을 받고 있다.

이번 전시를 통해, “빛과 생명”의 유기적 관계, 현대 회화의 의미와 우리의 삶과의 관계에 대한 시각적 체험을 작품 속에서 발견할 수 있으며 동시에 “파리의 향기”를 통해 프랑스 문화와 파리의 정취를 감상할 수 있을 것이다. 1985년 이후 대학 강단에 선 후 홍익대학교 미술대학에서 겸임교수로 후학들을 양성해왔으며, 국제창작예술가협회(International Creative Artists Association) 부회장으로 세계 수십 개국의 작가들과 교류전을 통해 한국 현대미술의 단면을 국제사회에 알리고 유대관계를 돈독히 하는데 기여해 왔다.

현재 Paris에 거주하면서 왕성한 작품활동과 동시에 재불예술인총연합회 Féderation des Artistes Coréens en FRANCE (FACF)의 회장직을 맡아, 프랑스에서 예술활동을 하는 각 장르의 작가들을 융합하고 장르간 협업과 상호 통섭을 통한 현대예술가들의 활동영역 확장에 기여. 헌신하고 프랑스 작가들과의 교류도 활발하게 하고 있으며, 프랑스에 유학 중인 젊은 청년들과의 정신적이며 예술적인 교류를 통해 차세대의 정신적 비전을 심어주는 역할과 작가생활을 하고 있다.

삶의 감사와 그 축제  ㅡ정택영의 초대전에 부쳐 ㅡ

 

질 알롱소 미예 (파리 대학 교수, 시인, 언어학 신학 미학자) 

 

모조되고 조작된 단순성, 일시적이고 변하기 쉬운 실루엣 같은, 추상적이며 여러 잡다한 사물을 모아놓은 유아적 콜라쥬 같은 이 시대의 현상에 주목한다.

살아있는 듯한 정택영의 생명력 있는 붓질과 스트록에 의해 표현된 그의 색채들은 모든 생명에 대한 열망과 경이로움을 노래와 춤으로 표현하고, 그 작품들이 우리와 감상자들을 매혹하는 방법을 잘 알고 있다.

연금술사와도 같은 우리의 화가, 그는 인간에 대한 큰 사랑으로 놀라운 공감을 주고 있다. 미묘하고 섬세하며 끊임없는 쥬 드 미러 (거울 놀이)를 통해, 아주 작은 것들의 존재를 인식 가능하게 해주고 있다.

대담하고도 호기로운 역설로 그가 소생시키는 동적 감각에 의해 우리의 깊은 내면에 도달하고 우리가 무한한 세계와 대화를 할 수 있게 해주고 있다.

우리 자아는 지속적으로 스스로를 재창조한다. 그것이 바로 새로운 탄생’- 그것이다!

그의 화면 위에, 아무 것도 확실히 고정되고 정의된 것은 없다: 움직임은 감정을 촉발한다!

그것은 재창조의 기적이다.

빛과 사랑, 삶에 대한 감성을 정택영의 작품 속에서 생의 향연을 짙게 느낄 수 있을 것이다!

A Celebration of Life

Be suspicious about this fake simplicity, these fugitive silhouettes, these abstract and almost childish collages.

By means of a few magical strokes, Takyoung knows how to make his colors sing and dance and they are enchanting us. Our painter alchemist is giving an incredible empathy for the human kind he loves so much. By a subtle and unceasing jeu de miroirs (play on mirrors), it is possible to grasp the existence of small things.

By an audacious paradox, Takyoung reaches our very deep interiority by the sensation of movement he is suscitating and it seems we are able to dialogue with the Infinite. Our self is reinventing itself continuously. It is newly born! So, on the canvas, nothing is yet definitely fixed : the motions give way to emotions! It is the miracle of a re-creation.

So, do not wait any longer, come and participate to this festival of life, of light and loveYou will feel better!

Une célébration de la vie

Méfions-nous de cette fausse simplicité, de ces fugitives silhouettes, de ces collages un peu aboliaits met presque eufantins.....Par quelques traits magiques et épurés,

Takyoung sait faire chanter et danser ses couleurs qui nous enchantent, c'est un hymme à la vie cérébrébdans ses couleurs les plus essentielles et notre peintre alchimiste fail preuve d'une incroyable empathie pour le geure humain.

Par un subtil et incessant jeu de miroirs, nous retrouvons l'essence des petite choses. Par un audacieux paradoxe, Takyoung parvient à toucher notre intériorité par la sensation de mouvement qu'il suscite et nous semblons dialoguer avec l'infini.

Notre moi se réinvente sans cesse. Il renait. Aussi, sur la toile, rien n'est définitivement fixe les motions cédeue la place à l'émotion. C'est le miracle d'une re-création.

Vite! Laisse-vous enporter par ce festin de la vie.

빛과 생명 Lumiere et Vie

 

“Lumiere et Vie” -  Ses peintures sont l'interpretation illustree d’une proclamation de la vie basee sur sa sensibilite profonde

L’INCROYABLE PARI* DE JUNG TAKYOUNG…LE DON DE LA VIE !
≪ Son pinceau est un regard porte sur la presence volatile de l’esprit, l’atmosphere des lieux, d’une epoque, l’etre des choses ≫.

Sur le papier glace, les images sont fixes et semblent figees. Une serie de contours, quelques silhouettes furtives, cinq couleurs et rien de plus : une sobriete savamment dosee ! Le trait de Takyoung semble banal, trivial, insignifiant, presqu’enfantin. Il traduit au contraire une incroyable maturite, doublee d’une grande simplicite. Il exprime une splendide epuration mais on a l’etrange sensation qu’il se prolonge sans cesse pour aller au-dela de notre moi, de notre ego jusqu’a atteindre notre cœur et notre conscience. C’est en fait notre etre profond qu’il dessine et qui se dessine sur la toile et l’on participe ainsi a un supplement d’ame, a une re-creation du monde, a une nouvelle naissance, a la vie dans toute sa plenitude et sa splendeur. Magie de l’artiste/heartiste qui nous dit l’indicible car ses paysages sont purement interieurs. Son rendu est fort justement colore, eclatant et impregne de realisme dramatique car chacun de ses personnages continue de remuer et de nous remuer en-dedans ! ≪ Ce qui m’interesse, c’est l’interpretation esthetique du moyen de survie des etres vivants inconnus appartenant a un monde visible et celle du retour a la vie. ≫ Transformation des etres, metamorphose, transcendance et transfiguration !
 

Nous sommes quasiment hantes par l’expression de ces visages, temoignages de notre propre vie qui dansent ici-maintenant dans l’onde fluide et dans l’intimite de la riviere parisienne en une feerie diurne et nocturne. Observez ce reveur, ces amoureux, ce groupe de personnes a la terrasse d’un cafe parisien, cette promeneuse solitaire qui arpente une rue… Ce sont d’autres nous-memes dont nous sommes les acteurs et les spectateurs et chacune des œuvres de Takyoung a quelque chose a nous reveler dans un avenir vraiment tres proche. Chaque toile est capteuse de foi, de sagesse et d’harmonie pour celebrer la lumiere, la vie et l’amour dans leur essence. La quintessence de Vie est la devant nous remarquablement elaboree, distillee et exposee par notre alchimiste peintre.
≪ J’aimerais susciter la sympathie pour tous les gens et qu’ils connaissent une vision du Cosmos nouvelle en approchant toutes les creatures selon des perspectives micro ou macrocosmiques et que mon eveil transpire dans mes œuvres et se reflete dans la mystique et la profondeur meme de ce monde ≫.

Le peintre se veut scrutateur, presque entomologiste du temps et de l’espace qu’il couvre et decouvre en demiurge. Il deroule de nobles sentiments comme le clapotis des petites vagues de la Seine apres le passage d’un bateau ivre (expression chere a Rimbaud), qui nous mettent en scene ou en Seine, en Han scene et finalement En Cene ! Les couleurs de sa palette, ces melanges inimitables et ses contrastes de bleu, de gris et de rose… sont les couleurs authentiques de l’ame et de la vie. Son œil aguerri et son habilete (savoir faire, technique) nous donnent a voir l’invisible, nous donnent a sonder l’insondable. Takyoung exprime l’inexprimable ! Non conformiste, il nous donne a vivre une sorte d’interiorite afin de toucher la beaute et la profondeur de notre etre. Voir une aquarelle de Takyoung c’est un peu comme sentir un froissement d’ailes d’un ange dans une piece. on eprouve une sorte de doux et delicieux vertige ! C’est simple, c’est leger, il y a du mouvement. C’est cette mixite de vie, de motions et d’emotions qui rend son œuvre si touchante, si bouleversante car nous sommes en presence d’un etre humain qui assurement aime ses pairs, qui les regarde tendrement, amoureusement et spirituellement.

Chaque mois, heureux lecteurs que nous sommes, nous naviguons au fil de l’eau par le biais de ses water colours, cette matiere d’eau qui se spiritualise sur la Seine ou le long de la Seine qui nous convie a une sorte de Cene, a la confluence d’une horizontalite materielle, historique et geographique et d’un axe vertical ou Axis Mundi, veritable trait d’union entre l’homme et les hommes, entre l’homme et le Divin et l’art (par homophonie, l’heart) confere a Takyoung une dimension a la fois metaphysique et universelle. Inutile de reconnaitre Francais et Coreens, Americains, Africains ou Oceaniens car nous sommes en presence d’etres semblables, d’une Fraternite des hommes evoluant dans l’Ordre du Monde … et le negatif n’a pas sa place dans cette vision du monde. Vous ne verrez ni sans domicile fixes pas plus que de haine ou de corruption… Mais si vous etes un tant soit peu receptifs, vous percevez un peu de cette innocence enfantine que Takyoung n’a fort heureusement jamais fait disparaitre en lui. Vous ne discernerez alors que bonte et beaute et si vos yeux et votre cœur s’ouvrent (On ne voit bien qu’avec le cœur disait Saint Exupery), si vous voulez jouer le jeu et entrez dans sa cadence picturale, vous pourrez passer ces quelques 39 ponts de Paris qui sont autant de passages, pas sages ou de portes spatio-temporelles et visiter en sa compagnie ces quartiers qui sont comme les morceaux d’un Grand Puzzle, comme les parcelles d’un Grand Tout, comme des tranches de Vie, sortes de microcosmes du Monde Universel. Vous vous rendrez compte que nous vivons avec les autres, par les autres et pour les autres. Balzac appelait cela dans le delicieux roman qui cloture sa Comedie humaine ≪ l’envers du monde contemporain ≫ ! C’est vers un tel voyage que nous convie notre artiste/heartiste et cela est fort rare ! Presque sans y prendre garde, on navigue de facon elliptique vers la joie, l’optimisme et la tendresse et cela nous engage a partager un sourire complice avec l’incroyable auteur de ces perles de grand prix ou petits miracles. Par consequent, on peut dire que Takyoung reussit parfaitement son pari (Paris) !

≪ J’espere que ma reflexion a travers cette perception de l’univers exprimee sur mes canevas s’accompagnera de joie et que la vie dans son etat le plus naturel, sera transmise aux spectateurs. ≫
 Peintre, essayiste, pedagogue, philosophe, linguiste, conteur, coreaniste, citoyen du monde et de l’univers, mystique… Avec de telles cordes a son arc (pas etonnant que l’archer soit le symbole qui figure sur son sceau coreen) Takyoung, qui s’inspire largement de son vecu et de sa propre experience visuelle, n’est assurement pas un artiste comme les autres. Plusieurs fois, j’ai eu le privilege de le regarder travailler, de partager un humble repas ou de discuter avec lui et je sais qu’il peut operer de petits miracles artistiques a l’aide de presque rien : un bout de papier, une feuille, un stylo, un crayon, un morceau de laine, une fleur, quelque chose qu’il ramasse par terre… A chaque fois, l’incroyable se produit : la ou tout semble decompose, il recompose, il reinsuffle de la vie par ses armes maitresses ; le dessin, la peinture, l’aquarelle, le collage... Il donne quotidiennement du reve, de l’espoir et de l’amour. on peut sentir derriere ses œuvres une incroyable bienveillance et chez l’homme une profonde humanite. Dans le monde hectique, stressant, impitoyable compose de bruit et de fureur de la capitale parisienne, l’œuvre de Takyoung positive et pacifie. Elle agit comme une sorte de guide et de baume car dans son art, tout est vivant et les etre humains sont comme des graines qui ont des choses toujours positives a enfanter. L’etre humain engendre la vie et la perpetue de generation en generation, la peinture egalement. Il nous faut alors regarder sa peinture pour nous regarder nous-memes, pour glisser de l’autre cote du miroir de notre vie. Notre heartiste nous aidera alors a mieux comprendre le monde et ses habitants ! Chaque personnage sur lequel il s’attarde est, a ses yeux, un heros et toutes les occasions sont bonnes pour mettre ses freres humains sous les projecteurs, pour les peindre hauts en couleurs. Takyoung est de ce fait un marchand de couleurs, de Vie, de Lumiere et d’Amour et son argent ou son agent c’est son cœur d’or (Art/Heart). Ne clame-t-il pas a l’envi que ≪ Toute sagesse vient du cœur et ce cœur doit etre rempli d’amour car seul l’amour possede le grand pouvoir qui nous permet de tout surmonter ≫.

 

Pour apprehender le style inimitable qu’est celui de Takyoung, il convient de donner quelques points de repere qui jalonnent son parcours si singulier de peintre :
≪ Pour moi, l’essence de l’art c’est la vie. Celui-ci donne naissance a la reconnaissance qui n’est que l’eruption de l’emotion associee au logos et au pathos qui se marient au sentiment et a la sensibilite comme les fruits d’une trace de vie et des activites qui s’y rattachent ≫.
 De 1970 a 1980, son expression le conduit vers l’hyperrealisme (geukasiljuuiwaui)
≪ Je suis sorti diplome de l’Ecole des Beaux Arts une fois atteint la vingtaine au moment de la Flower generation, a cette epoque ou les jeunes artistes en Europe et aux Etats-Unis, etaient en quete de peintures et de sculptures nouvelles, ou on etait capable d’utiliser des techniques avant-gardistes pour obtenir un rendu colore, eclatant et impregne de realisme dramatique, insufflant a mon œuvre le feu de la passion… ≫,
 Puis, de 1981 a 1986, il explore l’expressionisme et ≪ les champs de couleurs ≫ rappelant certain mouvement artistique ne a New York entre les annees quarante et cinquante.  ≪ Le concept philosophique de produire une chose  ≫ selon l’expression de Gilles Deleuze. Takyoung definit pendant cette periode l’art comme une cristallisation spirituelle generale mais peindre une personne sur une toile necessite quelques regles et oblige a parler d’art conceptuel. Comme chez Marcel Duchamps, il celebre un ≪ materiau qui n’adopte pas de choix pregnant de beaute ≫. Si on peut retrouver les elements de ses toiles dans les choses les plus triviales, les plus insignifiantes de la vie quotidienne, de tels motifs peuvent arriver a se soustraire si l’on veut bien prendre en compte le concept de la vie, de la vie en tant qu’art avec tout son cortege d’activites d’apprentissage : ≪ J’exprime l’observation sobre et intense mais la passion pour mon œuvre vient coiffer celle-ci. Mon œuvre est une rencontre (Mannaamdo) suscitee par le hasard plutot que par la necessite d’une rencontre fatale ≫.

Takyoung nous demande de plonger notre regard a travers l’acte de naissance ou de creation lui-meme et non pas sur des naissances non planifiees et ce regard est en quelque sorte un accouchement desire, intentionnel. La vue des choses ne s’arrete pas de voir a travers les choses et les observations ou par le biais de l’interpretation de la perspective de l’artiste qui fait jaillir une sorte d’esquisse sur la toile suscitant un emoi profond de par sa propre sensibilite de peintre, comme une tache (e)mue sur la toile, incroyablement vivante. Un tel processus est comparable a la douleur de l’enfant qui vient de naitre, a une sorte de generation paroxystique, comme si la toile avait le pouvoir de produire a disposition. Une telle sensibilite reproduit la vie. C’est vers la trentaine et suite a cette vision que s’initia le travail de Takyoung et aucun element etranger ne viendrait desormais plus en alterer le cours. Mais, il faut toujours rester vigilant car la creation d’un jeune artiste porte deja le poids du destin de sa philosophie de vie. A la quarantaine, Takyoung se confronta dans la partie superieure de la toile a un nouveau defi : ressembler au miroir de son moi.
 De 1987 a 1994, Takyoung se trouve devant un probleme d’ordre identitaire (qui vient, de quelle provenance, ou etais-je et je…) qui cette fois s’opere en un subtil changement dans sa propre vie. C’est le moment ou il s’offre, ou il s’abandonne, et cela se produit en France. Takyoung vient a Paris affuble d’une etiquette d’etranger et il est contraint de changer ses habitudes. Cela lui procure une certaine maturite qui paradoxalement lui confere l’innocence d’un enfant. Puis, rejoignant le Nouveau Monde, il se met a observer ses couleurs, c’est-a-dire ses choix de sud-coreen ou si l’on prefere, ses instincts primaires et ce style de vie edifie l’observation d’une philosophie, d’une experience interieure unique, d’un eveil personnel pouvant deboucher sur la materialisation d’une visualisation et permettre de conserver une identite toujours constante. ≪ J’ai choisi cinq couleurs de base et meme si je les utilise, je ne les melange pas. J’exprime des significations differentes et extremement puissantes et l’artiste peut proclamer la naissance d’un autre artiste ≫. Jusqu’au-boutiste dans la vision et la visualisation que represente cette nouvelle naissance, il lui faut enterrer ses anciennes manieres, renoncer a la ressemblance et tel un prophete, il est a meme de predire comment etre plus clairement present par le present de ses œuvres, de son œuvre.

La periode de 1995 a 2005 represente son ≪ admiration de la vie. ≫ Sur le palimpseste de la toile, l’artiste s’evertue a simplifier les images au maximum. ≫ Il utilise pour cela un langage tres visionnaire. Cela se traduit par des ≪ champs de couleurs ≫ simplifies auxquels il joint des signes fortement visuels et des images tres symboliques. Passees la quarantaine et la cinquantaine, il se fait plus patient et cherche a controler son moi, a voir au-dela de la forme pour exprimer le plus parfaitement possible son Ideal esthetique. Aussi l’artiste se veut plus humble. Il canalise davantage ses passions, ses stimuli, ses humeurs, ses intentions, sa prodigalite, son bavardage pour tendre vers l’abstraction du langage. Il utilise aussi toute la palette a sa disposition remplie d’une abondance de couleurs pour ses toiles vides qu’il peut etendre ou exprimer a l’infini.  Il se prepare en fait a un nouveau monde. Il s’apprete a naitre. Comme il l’a deja fait dans le passe, il renonce a tout pour ne pas repeter ce passe. Il pourra renaitre au moyen d’une certaine acuite de penetration grace a la simplification de l’image dans une sorte d’immanence. Takyoung sent qu’il faut sortir de l’orniere et se differencier des gens communs, et, loin de l’ambition qui caracterise la plupart des humains, loin de la facilite d’une vie bien rangee ou des besoins classiques des individus (la propriete, la mode…), il prend le risque de quitter son statut privilegie de professeur d’universite pour devenir cet artiste libre, independant mais o combien authentique afin de partir en quete et d’explorer un nouveau monde. Cet electron libre semble d’ailleurs nous dire : ≪ Approchez, regardez ma peinture. Appreciez-la et surtout ressentez-la ! ≫ Bien sur, personne ne peut predire a quel point ses peintures seront changeantes sinon l’artiste lui-meme. Ses œuvres a la fois identiques et differentes portent les stigmates d’une grande simplicite interieure. Sa peinture se veut stimulante et troublante. Elle est apte a toucher tous publics. Pour les plus insensibles, elle agira comme un electrochoc afin de les faire sortir de leur torpeur, de procurer quelque declic salutaire de la facon dont opereraient les aiguilles d’acupuncture pour eveiller, reveiller, voire encourager ou enluminer l’etre qui sommeille en chacun de nous. Il s’agit d’eclairer les gens sans montrer sa peinture. En 2006, il reduit encore un peu plus son art et sa symbolique auxquels il confere le vocable de ≪ Lumiere et Vie ≫. Il explore et exprime des formes d’une incroyable diversite qui sont transformees ou bien simplifiees, symbolisees ou semi abstraites. L’art de Takyoung devient un jeu de miroirs tres subtils entre la personnification, la perspective, l’analogie et l’allegorie. Il touche a l’arbitraire et a l’improvisation. L’heartiste est aussi obsede par le probleme de la cause. Il aime pister une chose jusqu’a sa source, en retrouver la racine, le fondement.
 Nous sommes par sa thematique choisie a dix mille lieues d’un tourisme de facade, tres loin des stereotypes conventionnels et traditionnels, d’une visite programmee mais au contraire l’heartiste nous convie a un feu d’artifice de couleurs mais aussi de sons et de silences ou peut-etre du sound of silence qu’il aime tant, a un mouvement perpetuel, a un flot ininterrompu de Vie …, a une fete de l’ame et de l’esprit dont nous sommes tres heureux de participer. C’est purement et simplement jouissif ! Nous nous delectons de descendre la riviere du temps et de l’espace avec lui depuis l’Orient d’un Matin Calme jusqu’au Couchant et de remonter en nous-meme. Paris, cette Barque d’Isis ou Bar-Isis (le blason de Paris) n’est-elle pas elle-meme une immense nef et par consequent l’expression du mouvement et de la vie, tout comme notre enveloppe corporelle ou encore comme la planete bleue sur laquelle nous vivons… Fluctuaut nec mergitur, nous rappelle la devise de Paris ! (Elle plie mais ne rompt pas !) Elle flotte, elle chante, elle vit. Elle vibre !!! Alors, il est bien normal que ses creatures petillent de vie et dansent cette valse a mille temps chantee jadis par Jacques Brel pour se calquer sur la ronde des mondes que le grand Dante Alighieri, le Prince des Poetes, evoqua a la fin de son dernier Chant de la Divine Comedie. Lui aussi sejourna a Paris :

≪ A l’alta fantasia qui manco possa ; ma gia volgeva il moi disio e ‘l velle, si come rota ch’igualmente e mossa, l’amor che move il sole l’altre stelle ≫.
 ≪ Comme une roue mue egalement, tournait mon desir et le vouloir, l’Amour qui meut le soleil et les autres etoiles ≫.
  Non seulement, on voit La vie en rose mais notre etre passe par toutes les couleurs d’un Divin Prisme et laisse eclater la vie par toutes ses fibres, par tous nos pores…  Il ne faut pas s’y tromper. Cette fausse simplicite, ces instantanes en mouvement sont un petit tresor !
 Son art fait finalement preuve de la plus grande des audaces car elle cree la vie. Il est independance, liberte, subversion en ce qu’il ne s’englue pas dans les gesticulations mediatiques de notre temps pas plus qu’il ne cede au charme et au chant des sirenes de notre societe de consommation… 
 Bref, il est urgent, si vous ne l’avez deja fait de regarder l’œuvre de Takyoung pour plus se fondre dans le present, pour se sentir davantage present et meilleur aussi. on peut apprecier cette peinture unique en apportant son degre de sensibilite. Prenez le temps de voyager a travers ses peintures, veritable boite de Pandore qui contient une infinite de langages de vie. Il faut les regarder pour etre vraiment present.

A series of contours , some furtive silhouettes , five colors and nothing more : a sobriety carefully dosed !
Trait Takyoung seems banal, trivial , insignificant, presqu'enfantin.
It reflects instead an incredible maturity, coupled with great simplicity.
It expresses a splendid treatment but has the strange feeling that it extends continuously to go beyond our self, our ego to reach our heart and conscience.
This is actually our inner being and that it draws shape on the canvas and it participates in a supplement of soul , a re- creation of the world , a new birth, life in all its fullness and splendor.
Magic artist / heartiste who says the unsayable as its landscapes are purely internal .
His record is aptly colored bright and imbued with dramatic realism because each character continues to stir and stir us there!

he took the risk of leaving his privileged status as a university professor to become the free and independent artist ,
but oh so true to go on a quest and explore a new world.
