Eduardo Chillida was born on January 10, 1924 in San Sebastian, Spain (Basque region).
In 1950 he married Pilar Belzunce and they had four sons and four daughters. He studied in France to be an architect
but left school and returned to Spain where he took up artwork in sculpture. His work is in a variety of mediums including stone,
metal, wood and paper. He died on August 19, 2002 in San Sebastian, Spain.
