uLE now has 3 different display modes, as follows:

Display mode 0 == Filenames only
The full screen width is used to display the file/folder names, thus allowing quite long names to be fully displayed, but at cost of not being able to show other file info. This is identical to the traditional filename display mode of older uLE versions.

Display mode 1 == Filenames and Info
This new mode uses a little more than half the screen width to display file/folder names, and uses the remainder at the right screen edge to display file sizes and timestamps. This is done at cost of not being able to display long filenames, but since normal PS2 filenames are quite short (max 32 characters on MC), this is not a major problem, so this mode is the new default for the FileBrowser.

Display mode 2 == Game Titles and Info
This new mode is similar to mode 1 in how it uses the screen, except that it displays gamesave titles instead of filenames (when titles are available). Since such titles are always limited to max 32 characters there will be no space conflict (except possibly for files that don't have any titles). Gamesave titles will be displayed correctly for PS1 gamesave files, PS2 gamesave folders, and PSU gamesave backup files, and regardless of the media any of these are stored on.

uLE now has 4 different sorting modes for the FileBrowser, as follows:

Sort mode 0 == No sort
As the name indicates, uLE does not change the display order at all for this mode, so that all objects are displayed in the order they were given by the device drivers, which presumably matches the physical order of storage.

Sort mode 1 == Sort by Filename
This is the default mode, and works as the traditional main sort mode of older uLE versions. Note that this also performs two other sorting tasks, as folders are displayed above files, and ELF files are displayed above all other files. Thus there may be three groups of objects in such a display.

1a: All folders, sorted by name
1b: All ELF files, sorted by name
1c: All non-ELF files, sorted by name

Sort mode 2 == Sort by Game Title
This works as the alternate sort mode used by older uLE versions when displaying game titles, but in the new version it can also be used when displaying filenames. In addition to the title sorting, this mode also separates folders and ELFs in the same way as mode 1. Additionally, objects that have no title will be separated to follow those of the same object type that do have titles, and the internal sorting of title-less objects will be by name. This means that such a display can contain five object groups.

2a: All folders with valid titles, sorted by title
2b: All folders lacking titles, sorted by name
2c: All ELF files, sorted by name
2d: All files with valid titles (PSU files or PS1 saves), sorted by title
2e: All non-ELF files lacking titles, sorted by name

Sort mode 3 == Sort by Timestamp
This new mode sorts objects by the modification timestamp, if the current device allows valid timestamps. Otherwise sorting defaults to mode 1 or 2, depending on the displayed file identifiers (file names or game titles). In all three cases this mode also performs the same separation of folders and ELFs as modes 1 and 2. When timestamps are valid such a display can contain three object groups.

3a: All folders, sorted by timestamp
3b: All ELF files, sorted by timestamp
3c: All non-ELF files, sorted by timestamp

The timestamp sorting is made in 'falling' sequence, so that the most recently modified objects are displayed at the top of the list, and the oldest at its bottom.

[이데일리 김경인기자] 애플컴퓨터가 `아이팟(iPod)`과 전화 기능을 통합한 휴대용 기기에 대한 특허를 신청했다. 이에 따라 애플의 신제품인 일명 `아이폰(iPhone)`이 조만간 출시될 것이란 기대감이 커지고 있다.

블룸버그 통신은 30일 애플컴퓨터가 지난 8월 특허상표국에 아이팟 기능과 전화 기능을 통합한 새로운 휴대용 기기에 대한 특허를 신청했다고 보도했다.

제출 서류에서는 산화 지르코늄과 알루미늄으로 만든 `튜브 모양`으로, 아이팟보다 훨씬 작고 가볍고 강한데다, 디자인의 미적 만족도도 높은 장비라고 묘사돼 있다.

이에 시장 전문가들은 스티브 잡스 최고경영자(CEO)가 아이팟의 대성공을 다른 제품 라인에 활용할 것을 구상중이라며, 빠르면 내년 1월경 새 휴대용 기기가 출시될 것으로 전망하고 있다.

파이퍼 제프리의 진 먼스터 연구원과 UBS의 벤자민 라이츠 연구원은 애플이 내년 1월에 열리는 맥월드 컨퍼런스에서 신제품 `아이폰`을 선보일 것으로 예상하고 있다.

먼스터는 "특허 신청은 조만간 `아이폰`이 출시될 것이라는 또 다른 증거"라며 "그들은 아이폰 출시에 앞서 설계와 관련해 특허권 보호막을 만들어두기 원하는 것"이라고 해석했다.

라이츠는 아이폰이 평균 300달러에 판매될 것이며, 애플에 연 15억달러의 매출을 안겨줄 것으로 전망했다.

뱅크 오브 아메리카(BoA)의 케이스 바흐만 연구원은 애플이 내년에 390만대의 아이폰을 판매할 것이며, 2008년에는 판매량이 670만대로 증가할 것으로 예상했다.

액션리플레이 라고 들어보셨는지요.
잠시 시간을 내서 게임을 즐기시는데 게임머니 라던지 레벨 등
너무 많은 시간을 투자해야할 때가 있습니다.

오는 2015년에는 컴퓨터 사용의 증가로 컴퓨터 보안에 대한 필요성이 높아지면서 컴퓨터 보안전문가가 각광을 받을 것으로 전망됐다.

또 의사와 변호사 등은 내부 종사자간 경쟁이 격화되면서 직업적인 특권이 사라

질 가능성이 높고 노점 및 이동판매원, 주유원 등은 현재보다 임금수준이 더 낮아질것으로 예측됐다.

한국직업능력개발원이 367개 직업에 대해 직업별로 25∼35명의 전문가들을 상대로 인력수급 전망을 최근 조사한 결과, 오는 2015년께 소득수준이 가장 크게 향상될 직업으로는 컴퓨터 보안전문가가 5점 만점에 4.41점으로 1위를 차지했다고 1일 밝혔다.

이어 기업 고위임원(4.23점), 항공기정비원 및 자동조립라인 및 산업용 로봇조

작원(각 4.20점), 컴퓨터 시스템 설계ㆍ분석가(4.15점), 해외영업원(4.12점), 자연ㆍ생명과학 관련 연구원 및 문화ㆍ예술ㆍ디자인ㆍ방송 관련 관리자(각 4.10점), 금융자산운용가 및 상담전문가(각 4.07점) 등 순이었다.

임금이 하락할 것으로 전망된 직업으로는 노점 및 이동판매원(2.59점)이 1위로

꼽혔고 주유원(2.61점), 계산원ㆍ매표원(2.65점), 방문판매원(2.71점), 매장정리원(2.74점), 농림어업 관련 단순노무자(2.81점), 법무사 및 변호사(각 2.81점) 등이 뒤를 이었다.

사회적 위상이 현재보다 높아질 직업에 대한 조사에서도 컴퓨터 보안전문가가 1

위를 차지했고 상담전문가와 해외영업원, 문화ㆍ예술ㆍ디자인ㆍ방송관련관리자, 환경 및 보건위생검사원 등의 순으로 나타났다.

고용 증가율이 가장 높을 것으로 관측된 직업으로는 손해사정인과 통역가, 시스

템 소프트웨어 개발자, 회계사, 레크리에이션 진행자 및 스포츠강사 등이 꼽혔다.

박천수 한국직업능력개발원 연구위원은 "자격이나 면허에 기초한 의사와 변호사

는 내부 종사자간의 경쟁이 치열해면서 현재와 같은 직업적인 특권이 거의 사라질것으로 보인다"며 "이들 직업에 적성과 능력에 상관없이 과도하게 시간과 돈을 투자하는 것은 바람직하지 않다"고 말했다.

브래지어데이·빼빼로데이·고래밥데이… '~데이' 아닌 날이 없네

'빼빼로데이'(11월11일)에 이어 '브래지어 데이'(11월8일), '고래밥데이'(12월12일)까지. 유통업계의 '데이(Day) 마케팅'이 도를 넘어 마구잡이식 상혼으로 눈살을 찌푸리게 한다.

데이마케팅의 원조는 빼빼로데이. 1990년대 중반 여학생들이 날씬해지기를 기원하며 빼빼로 상품을 주고 받은 것이 그 시작이다. 처음엔 신선하고 재미도 있었지만, 이젠 완전히 상술로 변했다.

빼빼로데이를 열흘 앞둔 현재 온라인쇼핑몰에선 초컬릿, 땅콩, 코코넛 세트 등로 꾸며진 빼빼로 DIY(소비자가 직접 만드는 제품)재료가 완제품가격(700원)의 10배가 훨씬 넘는 1만원 가격에 팔리고 있다. 또 편의점에서는 인형, 바구니 등으로 치장한 1만~4만5,000원대의 세트제품까지 등장했다.

한 여성내의업체는 지난해부터 11월8일을 '브래지어데이'로 정해 3만원 이상 속옷을 구매하면 여성속옷용 손가방을 선물하는 이벤트를 벌이고 있다. 브래지어 끈 모양의 '11'과 가슴 모양의 '8'을 본 따 브래지어데이로 설정했다는 것이다.

서양명절인 '할로윈 데이'(10월31일) 마케팅도 눈살을 찌푸리게 한다. 할인점 등에서는 이날 1만~2만원대의 마법사모자와 마녀의상을 판매하는 이벤트를 펼쳤고, 시중호텔에서는 30만원대의 할로윈파티 상품을 판매하기도 했다.

이밖에도 닭을 할인 판매하는 구구데이(9월9일), 고래모양을 닮았다는 고래밥데이(12월12일) 등 각종 '~데이'는 50여개나 된다. 대부분 업체들이 제품판매를 위해 만들어낸 마케팅의 결과다.

업계 관계자는 "빼빼로데이 성공 이후 유통업계에선 데이마케팅이 주요 판촉수단으로 자리잡았다"며 "너무 남발되다보니 억지스럽고 어색한 면까지 있다"고 말했다.
