I felt somthing gladness which might be relative to my memories with my friends.

식품의약품안전청(청장 윤여표)은 백설탕·갈색설탕·흑설탕 (기타설탕) 등이 모두 정제 과정을 거쳐 안전성에 문제가 없지만 제품의 특성에 따라 용도에 맞게 선택해야 한다고 당부하였다.

설탕은 사탕수수 등에서 추출한 원료당을 정제 가공하여 제조된 백설탕·갈색설탕·흑설탕으로 나뉜다

질의 1. 설탕의 종류별 용도는 무엇인가요?

→ 설탕에는 아래와 같이 백설탕, 갈색설탕, 기타설탕이 있으며, 분당(슈가파우더)이나 그라뉼당은 백설탕의 일종이다.

1) 백설탕

입자가 작고 순도가 높으며 담백한 단맛이 난다. 제과 제빵, 요리, 디저트, 음료 등 다양한 식품 분야에 널리 쓰인다.

*분당, 슈가 파우더

백설탕을 밀가루처럼 곱게 분쇄한 설탕으로 슈거 파우더라고도 한다. 원당의 정제 및 결정화 과정에서 직접 체로 쳐 분말화시킨 100% 성분의 분당, 백설탕을 갈아서 전분(3∼5%)을 첨가한 고화방지용 분당, 시간이 지나도 녹거나 뿌옇게 변하지 않도록 밀입자에 유지를 코팅한 데코 스노우 등의 종류도 있다. 수분 함량이 낮아 바삭한 쿠키종류나,폰단트,마지팬,데코레이션등에 사용한다.

크기는 백설탕과 비슷하나 백설탕에 비해 순도가 높은 설탕. 맑은 광택이 있고 녹기 쉬운 성질을 갖고 있다. 주로 콜라를 비롯한 음료용으로 사용돼 ‘콜라당’이라고도 불린다. 제과, 제빵 전반에 가장 많이 사용한다.

2) 갈색 설탕

정제 과정에서 2차로 생산되는 설탕으로 백설탕과 흑설탕의 중간 결정으로 갈색 빛이 난다. 쿠키 종류에 많이 쓴다.

3) 기타설탕(일명 흑설탕)

정제 과정 가운데 가장 마지막에 생산되는 설탕으로 캐러멜을 첨가한 것. 당도는 백설탕, 갈색 설탕에 비해 낮지만 독특한 맛과 향이 있다. 색을 진하게 하는 호두파이 등 제과에 사용한다.

질의 4. 백설탕을 표백제로 희게 만든다는데 사실인지요?

→ 백설탕에 식품첨가물인 아황산염류가 표백제로 사용 허가되어 잔류기준이 20ppm으로 정해져 있으나, 최근에는 이를 사용하지 아니하고 원료당을 세척 용해하고 활성탄(숯)을 이용한 탈색․정제공정을 통해 희게 하고 있다.

질의 5. 설탕을 장기간 두었는데도 썩지 않는 이유는 무엇인가요?

→ 식품이 썩는다(부패)는 것은 유해미생물(세균, 곰팡이 등)이 번식하면서 나타나는데, 당의 농도가 높을 경우 삼투압 때문에 미생물이 자랄 수가 없어 썩지 않는 것이다. 그러므로 설탕은 보관할 때 습기가 없는 곳에 보관하는 것이 좋다. 다만, 설탕을 물에 녹여 희석한다든지 다른 식품에 첨가할 경우 미생물은 더 잘 자랄 수 있다.

질의 6. 설탕은 충치가 생기는데, 자일리톨은 왜 충치가 안 생기는지요?

→ 설탕은 포도당과 과당으로 이루어진 이당류로 충치균이 잘 이용할 수 있지만, 자일리톨은 당알콜로서 충치균의 먹이가 되지 않는다.

질의 7. 백설탕, 갈색설탕, 기타설탕 중 어느 것이 미네랄이 많은가요?

→ 당의 순도는 백설탕이 가장 높으며, 기타설탕이 가장 낮다. 당의 순도가 낮은 기타설탕의 경우 미네랄 등이 일부 함유되어 있는 것이 사실이다.

질의 8. 오래된 설탕을 열어보았더니 엷은 베이지색으로 변색되었는데?

→ 산소의 영향으로 설탕이 환원되어 갈색으로 변색된 것이다. 먹어도 위생상의 문제는 없다.

질의 9. 설탕을 보존함에 따라 노란색을 띠어갔는데 이상이 없나요?

→ 설탕 속에는 원료인 사탕수수와 사탕무가 가지고 있는 아미노산이 극소량 남아있다. 이것과 당이 아미노 카르보닐 반응을 일으켜 서서히 노란색으로 변한 것이다. 공기와 접촉하거나 온도가 높으면 변색이 빠르다. 사용해도 위생상의 문제는 없다.

질의 10. 오랫동안 싱크대 아래에 보존하고 있던 설탕을 사용하려고 하였더니 시큼한 냄새가 났다. 또한 물에 녹이자 희읍스름하고 연기 같은 것이 자욱했는데 이상이 없나요?

→ 보존상태가 나쁘면 발효한 것처럼 시큼한 냄새가 나거나 물에 녹였을 때 희읍스름한 연기 같은 것이 나는 경우가 있는데, 이것은 설탕이 변질했기 때문으로, 사용하지 않는 것이 좋다.

질의 11. 구입 후 비누상자에 넣어둔 설탕봉지를 뜯었더니 이취가 났는데 이상이 없나요?

→ 비누상자 속에 넣어두었기 때문에 비누 냄새가 설탕으로 옮겨져 이취가 난 것이다. 요리 등에 사용해도 위생상의 문제는 없지만 요리에 영향을 미칠 수 있다.

팜유는 열대작물인 Oil Palm(학명:Elaeis guineensis L.)의 과육에서 채취된 식물성 유지로 인류가 과거 수 천년간 애용해 왔으며 대두유와 함께 세계에서 가장 많이 사용되는 식용유지입니다. 팜유의 원산지는 자이레 등을 중심으로 한 아프리카 서부 열대지방이며, 현재는 아프리카, 동남아시아, 중남미 등에서 생육되고 있습니다.

팜유의 용도

팜유는 트랜스 지방이 없고, 보존성이 우수하며, 맛이 담백하기 때문에 가공용 식용유지로 널리 사용되고 있습니다. 팜유는 튀김유를 비롯하여 마가린, 쇼트닝 등 가공유지에 널리 이용되고 있으며, 튀김유의 용도로서는 어묵, 고로케 등과 같이 튀김 후 단시간에 소비되는 것을 비롯해서 즉석면, 스낵제품 등과 같이 튀김 후 소비될 때까지 장기간 보존하는 것 등 다양합니다. 현재 가장 널리 이용되고 있는 분야는 라면 분야이며 팜유 단독 혹은 타 유종과 혼합해서 사용되고 있습니다. 또한 포테토칩 등의 스낵제품에도 단독 또는 미강유 등의 액상 식용유와 병용해서 널리 이용되고 있습니다.

팜유의 산화안정성

팜유에는 불포화지방산과 포화지방산이 거의 1대1 비율로 들어 있고 산화 안정성이 타 유지보다 월등히 좋습니다. 산화 안정성의 지표인 A.O.M을 보면 액상 식용유는 0~20시간인 것에 비해 팜유는 60시간 전후로서 우수한 산화 안정성을 보입니다. 이와 같이 팜유는 다른 식용 유지에 비해 산화 안정성이 아주 우수한 유지입니다.

팜유의 영양적 가치

팜유는 다른 식물성 유지와 마찬가지로 콜레스테롤을 함유하지 않으며, 별도의 경화 과정을 필요로 하지 않기 때문에 트랜스지방산을 함유하지 않습니다. 또한 팜유는 항산화성분인 토코페롤(비타민E) 등이 함유되어 있으며 다른 유지에는 없는 항산화성분 토코트리에놀을 함유하고 있는 것이 특징입니다. 이러한 항산화성분들은 체내 세포의 노화를 억제하는 기능을 한다고 알려져 있습니다. 팜유에는 필수지방산인 리놀레산(limoleic acid)이 10% 정도 함유돼 있습니다.

One week

Hey, is that yours?

Yesterday was a memorable day. Because it was the first day when II watched the movie alone. :P

The movie was 'one week'.

It was great choice!

A guy was pronounced cancer. He was engaged to marry.

When the doctor said he had the terminal cancer, he thought whether he cancelled the marriage or not.

He might not be sure if he loved her.

After he told her diagnosis, he headed for WEST by motorbike.

The movie showed his last journey with the beautiful scenaries in Canada.

It made me have a desire to travel in Canada. (one day, i will)

Also it made me think about what I would do if I knew I had only one day, one week to leave.

'One week' gave me the answer that everyone knew but forgot most of time

Some people said it's like the movie 'Once'.

The story is not like that. They might mean that this movie had great music and spent not so much money relatively.

If people make a buzz about this movie, it might be successful like 'Once'.

a poor lasting plastic bag

Such a funny situation made me laugh.

When I recognized something had lighten, there were some apples on the road from the hole of the plastic bag.

It was just funny.. even though I was exhausted because I had walked too much (and was going to walk as well)

it doesn't change wherever I am.

a few months ago, all my documents and photos that were collected for over 4 years disappeared.

and a week ago, I lost my usb which included CV, photo in Christchurch etc....

while I was writing essay, I came up with these happening.

Although I feel like escaping from this situation, it might be a memory in the near future.

the fact I mumbled Heo Gyoung young*3, too...

원조든 아니든 아이디어가 참 귀엽다

가장 좋아하는 보석을 자르고 U자 혹은 O자 형태로 콜라주를 해서 접착제나 테이프로 잘 붙인다.

원한다면 컬러복사를 하고(<-옵션) 얇은 판을 대서 자르고 고정시키면 완성!

뉴질랜드에도 이와 비슷한 콜렉션을 열었던 디자이너가 있다고 해서 찾아봤다

Movenpick in Mission bay

I think Mission bay is the most famous place in Auckland.

If you ask someone who has been in NZ for a short time, the person would say 'i've been to Mission Bay!'.

Mission bay is close to the city comparing others.

And many people (especially tourists) like this place and say it's beautiful.

I also had heard about reputation of this bay and I had a opportunity to go there very soon.

Like other's opinions, it was beautiful and peaceful.(I could find many beautiful beaches later, though.)

Because I went there in winter, there were not so many people.

In summer, there are heaps of people swimming there.

I could see them easily everywhere. They are like doves in Seoul.

Oh! if you go to the Mission bay, you should try Movenpick icecream.

NZ people really love icecream. (Once you go to the super market, you can see various icecream.)

And they seem to think having ice cream is kind of culture. I saw someone go to the beach in order to have icecream.

This ice cream shop is famous in NZ. you can buy this icecream in supermarket, too.

But they provide you only with the package type.

I don't know how many Movenpick shops are in NZ.

But i'm sure that it's not easy to try waffle corn type movenpick icecream like this photo.

Movenpick shop is as famous as you should lined up by outside of the shop to order icecream.

The flavor?? rich and fresh.

People say that the most famous flavor is hockey pockey.

Although I didn't try the flavor in this shop, I recommend you'd better try the flavor no matter what kind of brand or product.

Hokey pokey is one of NZ icons. :P

who are they?

There was a building in front of the city central library.

This pictures were taken from the 1st floor.

When I looked out of the window from my seat, I was so astonished. Because some people were looking towards the library for a long time without any movement.

As i looked into them, i recognized it's not real.

But i still feel creepy even though I admired such a creative and challengable work.

I'm sure there're those fake people still now.

If you go to Auckland, you would find it.XD

I was just curious about taste and my friend forced me to try it.

When the cook started make a dish with it, I saw it hopped.

I'd like to introduce such a nice song.

I listened to this song on the radio.

It was so gooooooooood that I tried to search the title by the lyrics that I caught.

The first try was unsuccessful. Although I changed the word many times, I couldn't find the song. So I should give up.

Two days later, I could listened the song again on the radio and got some clue that the band was Kiwis(NZers).

I mixed the lyrics with the clue and entered it on google.

Yeah! I found it. Furthermore I found the site where I could listen directly.

The band name is 'The Sproutts' and the song I listened to on the radio is 'Woman, Man, and Machine'. But other songs are also great! :)

I've just got the punishment of Heaven because of undutifulness to my parents.

How could I forget their birthdays? (It's very unfamiliar for me to call parents the word 'them' which doesn't have any respectful meaning) The mother's day is coming here. So I thought 'oh, the Parents' day is also coming in Korea.'. And then? I should have reminded Mom’s & Dad’s birthday. I'm sooooooo sorry to my parents.

While I was using the laptop in the living room, I suddenly came up with my parents' birthdays. I was going to open the door to enter my room with heaps of guilt and at then the punishment of Heaven dropped to me from near Heaven, above of the door. A few months ago, same thing happened to me and the manager of the apartments fixed it up. But there was no energy to complain or to get angry. I just took it obvious result led by undutifulness.

After then, I called home to apologize for my indifference. However, my parents put me through a catechism without giving any moment to apologize. They were really worried about Swine flu in NZ. I don't feel that Swine flu is serious here, though. My mom finally asked me, 'How are you? Are you OK?' I answered 'No, a bad daughter is crying and I've got the punishment from Heaven'. She didn't care why I was the bad daughter but care only what the punishment was. Even after explanation about this situation, she was still worried only how sick I was. Oh, mommy..

Whatever I do, my parents always trust and love me. I can't express how great their love is.

Although I know it, why do I feel that it's so difficult to say 'I love you.’?

Dad and mom!! I love you!!!

I have a memory like a sieve. :P I'm thinking what I did today.

Every Wednesday is the day to go for volunteer work, even though I couldn't go there on last Wednesday and won't be able to go on next Wednesday as well................................ -. -;;; May I say 'every'? Anyway, I met my friend and went to the elderly people hospital & home. We took charge of Kowhai court today. I used to do at Rimu court. As I started to work with Sue, my main court changed into Kowhai. That might be why I often got lost until now although it's been more than 3 months since I started this voluntary work. Moreover this building seems like a maze. Whoever came there first said 'it really looks like a maze'! I'm getting used to this maze, though. What we do is not so difficult job. We serve the morning tea to the residents (who mostly have some trouble in movement), collect the cup with the saucer and help the residents go to their room from the physiotherapy room. Meanwhile some people do exercise in the physiotherapy room, others can enjoy the various activity in main reception such as a quiz (on Wednesday, they usually do the quiz game and sometimes they have resident's meeting after finishing the game).

When the clock says that it's quarter to twelve, we start to take the residents to the dining rooms from main reception, physiotherapy room or somewhere else. That's what the volunteer does there.

To be a better volunteer,

1. try to memorise residents' name, what they would like to drink and who is the diabetic.

2. prepare the interesting topic to talk to the residents.

+ I finally saw what Son Dambi, Sonyeou sidae and Wonder girls sing recently. At that time, I knew why people especially men like Son Dambi. The funny thing was that the person who showed it to me was a Chinese friend. XD

I recognized I didn't think of happiness. I'd rather say I couldn't afford to do it.

We were just talking about the lottery.

They asked me what I would like to do if I won the lottery.

I have ever thought about it before. So I talked to them about my plan.

My plan was to keep money in the bank first and to use the income from interests.

The most important reason was to prevent bad people from taking money or threatening me. (While I was writing this, I thought saving money in the bank might be more dangerous. Because the bank could get information of the person who won the lottery. When the lottery became popular in Korea, I've ever heard about many strategies of the lottery-winner to prevent oneself from any danger and one of them was to put the money into Swiss bank.)

Anyhow, the topic had moved to stock market, real estates and finally reached to the relation between happiness and money.

What I wanted to say was happiness depends on how to spend money ONLY in a view of the relation between happiness and money. As I said 'if I spend money for useless purpose, I can't feel happy.', they laughed and asked me 'why do u spend money for useless purpose?'. I thought they just tripped off end of my tongue and asked them what the matter was. They said the problem was logical thing. No matter how I sliced it, I couldn't find what the problem was.

BUT WHY CAN I FIND THE PROBLEM AS I AM WRITING DOWN THIS even though I started writing to complain about culture difference(I thought culture differences led non-understanding among us)?

I should have said what I had in my mind to help them understand my opinion. I tend to be under the illusion that other people can know and understand what I think without saying it directly. It's the big illusion!

Different strokes for different folks.

Each individual had different thought and different perspective. And each reminds different concept of happiness. Likewise the standard of 'useless' consumption would be different. The problem occurred here. I thought we all had same concept of 'useless' consumption and I tried to claim I would not spend money for useless purpose from only my own idea. What an arrogant idea it was. It could be seen other people spent money for useless things unlike I spent money only for valuable things. Who judges which is valuable or useless.

OK, it's enough to reflect on my foolish behaviour. The thing to do is to study harder. XD

The question 'what is your happiness?' is difficult for me. Before finding the answer, I'd better know when I feel happy.

Let me remind the happy moments in the recent days.

I was happy when I saw leaves of trees getting coloured.

And I like today's air such as a little bit cold and lonely as I can feel winter is coming.

It might be the winter-scent!

Don’t forget this simple way to getting happier.

Just recognize every happy moment.

Happiness is everywhere around me. :^)

It is time to say good bye again. As someone said, it's silly rule to work for only 3 months for one employer.

I know complaining about the rule is to bay the moon, though.

Yes. The other 3 months have past. Time is sooooooo fast.

I planned to write down the letter as I had done for previous colleagues.

But I can't do it because I have spent whole day for editing the photo that would be put on the website of the restaurant.

I think it will not be too late to do it when I leave New Zealand. :^)

I'm really lucky. Whoever I have met are all nice. It's obviously fortune, isn't it?

I need to prepare to meet friends soon.

I should use time in the more effective way.

Whenever I write something like this, I come to reflect on myself. It means there are too many things to examine on.

Since one of my friends said ‘don’t blame you.’, I try to not blame myself but it sometimes encourages me to improve my potential ability. I think there’s other word to describe it properly. I’m going to find it later.

I came back home.

And I came up with concept about blaming myself and I recognized what I have done is not exactly to blame myself but to correct bad behaviour or habit.

If I stopped reflection, I would be satisfied with present life and wouldn't have to change anything.

It should be bored.

In some people's view, I might seem to live unhappily. I used to be said 'you live too busily.' However I don't think I'm not happy. Why not be happy with busy life? I don't have to care what other people think of my life, do I? GO AHEAD! : )

My last working day was finished perfectly(in other words, without making any mistake). I feel a bit sad now.

Even just a few days ago, I sometimes didn't want to work, though.

They prepared the present and the card for me. As I didn't expect it at all, I was really impressed by them.

ahhhhhhhhh I should have made time to write the letter although we could meet again.

And also my last staff meal was very special. Especially a 'real' spicy dish was so lovely.

Whenever the chef made spicy dishes, I couldn't find any spicy. But they must have cooked it with much more care. To be honest, it was quite far from Korean spicy and I just have had a sore stomach. Nevertheless, how sweet their disposition was.

As much as I had food for my dinner, I am full of happiness. I might start to seek the new job very soon. However I want to enjoy this happiness for a while without any concern.
