What was your favorite class back in school?

My favorite subject? hmm....That's tough question.

Why? Did you like all your subjects?

No that's not what i meant. I wasn't a straight A student or anything ,you see.

But you must've had a subject you liked more than others.

I think i was more into music and art classes.

Music and art? interesting. My favorite was gym class.

Ha ha So you weren't that academic either ,were you?

Nope, I wasn't best of students when it came to studying.

How bad were your grades?

I think got Cs on average.

Same here i got Cs across the board.

What was a your worst subject?

Oh, don't even ask. mine was math.

I just didn't have the brains for numbers.

How did you pay for college?

No, not really. They told me to save the money I make to buy my house.

You're lucky. I had to get through college myself.

Yes i got a student loan.And also,I took up a part- time job tutoring students .

Good for you. Are you done paying of your loans?

Almost.The bank gave me a grace period of six months after i graduatided.

So i started to pay back my loan only last year.

Oh, Okay. How many more months do you have left?

About six or seven.

er...well....I always watch talk shows,comedy shows and the news.

I enjoy watching films, too.

Kind of. ok. So I probably do watch TV for twenty hours a week.

Have you ever Watched TV all night?

No, i don't think i have.....Not all night.

Do you ever work with the TV on?

No never. I can't work when there's any noise.

Do you have a TV in your bedroom or the kitchen?

I have one in my bedroom but not in the kitchen.

And do you always have to have remote control ?

Er,....Yes, i do actually.I like flipping through channels.

But the thing is I usually can't find the remote!

Yes i have. I've been to several of them,actually.The last one was in Japan.

No, i haven't. I am not a big rock fan.I prefer classical music or jazz.

Hmm, I listen to classical music sometimes . I like Mozart.

Have you ever been to a classical concert?

No, never.

Oh, Listening to an Orchestra playing live is fantastic experience.

You don't know what you're missing.And how about a Jazz concert?

Yes i 've been to one. It was Ok.

Oh, i've been to dozens.Live jazz is just amazing.

There is a large annual event in Korea called the "Jarasum jazz festival". You should check it out.

I've heard of that event. It started in 2004 ,didn't it?

Some of my friends who went to that festival said it was really nice.

Mine is Star wars. No doubt about that.

Star Wars ? Oh thar's a classic. Do you like first trilogy or the second trilogy.?

They are both okay. But i like the second better .They have cooler special effects.

What was your favorite scene in the movie?

Oh it was when Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan kenobi had a duel in"Revenge of the sith."

Oh, That's was a great scene.My favorite scene was when Yoda fought the evil emperor.

When we were young. All my friends were Star Wars geeks.

Same here. We practically grew up with the Star Wars films,didn't we?

I most often buy books. Online bookstores offer a 10% discount from the cover price.

But you have to pay for shipping and handling ,don't you?

Yes and no. Some sites offer free shipping ,some don't.

What else do you buy online?

I always buy tickets for movies,performances,or sports events online.

Oh, yes . That's convenient, isn't it?

Absolutely . You don't have to wait in line at the ticket booth.

Anything else you buy on the internet?

Oh, i buy electronics ,clothes,accessories,cosmetics and even food online.

What do you do with your computer?

I do almost everything on my computer.

I check email,chat on my messenger,write documents,listen to music and watch movies on it.

Do you have a laptop or a desk top?

I have a desktop. I used to have a laptop,but it got too old.

My computer keeps on crashing these days.

It freezes whenever i try to do something.

Oh really? Why don't you do a virus check on it?

I did. but that didn't work.

When did you upgrade your virus program?

Quite a while ago.I think it was last year.

My first job? I use to work at my father's company.

Oh ! really? But how did you become a veterinarian?

I grew tired of working under my dad.

It's difficult to become a vet, isn't it?

you have to get a degree in vaterinary medicine and the training takes 6 years.

In the final year ,students have to take a written exam,a practical exam and an oral interview.

How much dit it cost you?

A lot ,I'm still paying back my student loans.

How did you become a pilot,Jake?

I became a pilot about 20 years ago.I went to flying school.

I had to get 72 weeks of basic training.

I didn't have to pay for it though.The company paid for the expenses.

That's cool . So, Did you start flying right out of school?

Pretty much.I had to work for the airline that paid for my training.

And that's the airline you still work for?

Not really.I moved to this airline eigth years later.

What did you study in school?

Oh i majored in sociology back in college.

Sociology ? But you're an accountant now.

I know. I studied accounting after college.

Interesting. Did you have to take a test?

Yes, there's a test yo have to pass to become an accountant .

It took me two years to prepare for that test.

How do you know if someone is your friend?

well, I guess friends look out for each other.

They'er the ones you rely on when you're going through tough times.

But how do you know they are looking out for you ?

I don't know. Don't you just know those things?

Idon't know about that. I once had a close friend but he didn't seem to care much about what i was going through.

He probably wasn't a close friend ,then.

No, we were pretty tight. It's just that he wasn't there when i needed him the most.

We fell out of touch after graduation .I haven't met him since.

Where did you have your wedding?

So, how did you and Jenny end up getting married?

We were first going out casually.But the longer i met her,the more i grew to like her.

Before i knew it ,I was in love with her.

Did she love you back?

She seemed to like me very much.

Then one day, we were having a drink at a bar and she was laughing a lot.

I just thought that i want to hear that laugh forever. so , i bent down on one knee and asked her to marry me.

Wow, Did she say yes?

Well , not immediately. She was very surprised and didn't know what to say.

Then a few days later she called me and said ,"Promise me , you'll take good care of me."

I ran to her house and we got engaged that day.

And when and where did you have your wedding?

Six months after that .At the church she went to.

How many people were at the wedding ?

About 200.

And was Ben there?

Yes he was , he was my best man.

Well, i really love traveling.

Yes, last year i went to Turkey for 3 weeks.

Turkey? Me too. I went there, too.

I stayed in a place called Fathyie. and you?

I was in Istanbul ,visiting friends. I had a great time.

Me too.Did you learn any Turkish? Can you speak the language?

er...no I can,t .Can you?

No neither can i .But lots of people spoke English there and they were really friendly.

What else are you interested in? What do you do in the evenings?

I really like going to watch movies.

Oh, me too, What kind of firms do you like?

I like movies with vampires in them.Underworld and Twilight were my favorite movies.
