현석이 한국 학교에서 돌아오는 길 맥도 럴드에 점심을 해결하기 위해 들렸다.

현석이에게 주문을 시키니 짤막하게 프렌치 후라이, 작은 코크,그리고, 작은 너켓을 $3.00에 시켰다. 난 웃으며 주문을 받은 흑인에게 가격은 최대한 줄이기 위해 셀러드을 시켰다. 그런데 문제는 셀러드에 종류 및 선택 사항(들어가는 고기 종류 및 드래싱)가 있었던 것이다. 뭔가를 계속 묻기에 못 알아들었지만, 다시 묻긴 그렇고 해서 그냥 Yes라 답했다. 그러곤 $4.5를 냈다. 뭔가 잘못되었다는 생각을 하는 동시에 주문한 음식이 나왔다. 내가 시키지 않은 큰 감자 튀김과 함께......

On the way home from Hyun's Korean school we stopped by to the Macdonald to eat the lunch because my wife went to Atlanta for shopping with her friend.At there I asked Hyun to order what he wanted to eat with $3.00 and he did it simply by saying " Small coke, Small French Fries, and small nuggets that contained 4 peace. I expected that he wouldd say a long sentence when he ordered but he didn't so that I was't satisfied with his order. When it was my turn to order I went to the same counter and ordered just one salad to save money but there was a problem with ordering as she asked a couple of questions because of options such as what kind of meet and dressing do you like but I didn't know the kind of dressing I need to tell so I couldn't say exactly what I want so she kept asking something so I assumed that she was asking me to choose so I just said "yes" but when I paid for that she asked for more money than what I expected but when I paid the food I ordered was ready as it was ready to be ordered. When I checked the receipt and bag,I noticed that there was a big French flies that was not food what I ordered. What a shame of me. I have been studying English for 5 yeas living in hear but I failed to order even tough I would talk with Dr. and have been working as manager in UDP.

이런, 5년을 이곳에 영어 공부를 하며 지냈는데, 햄버기 가게에서 주문을 못해 시키지 않은 감자 튀김을 테이블에 앉아 먹고있자니

허털한 마음과, 민망한 마음이 교차했다. 얼마 전 와이프가 버거킹에서 테이블로 가져온 콜라가 한 잔의 용량이 두 사람이 먹어도 될 킹 콜라 두 잔이었어서

아직도 주문도 못하냐고 야단을 친 기억이 났던 것이다.

아직까지 가게에서 단순한 주문도 제대로 못하는 낙제 점수의 내 영어 실력, 그러나 의사와 대화 및 공장의 통솔에는 문제가 없는 나의 영어 실력 과연 무엇이 문제일까~

돌아오는 길 단풍이 곱게든 길가 옆 가로수들을 보며 마음을 달랬다. ---->다행히 집에 돌아오자 마자 튼 CNN은 잘 들렸다.

달이 변하는 이유

초저녁 신선한 공기를 대하려 나가 바라본 하늘에 초생달이 지평선에 걸려있었다. 불과 10분 전만 해도 석양에 물든 붉은 하늘에서 만지면 부서질 듯한 초생달이 서쪽 하늘에 뜬것이다. 문득 왜 달이 저렇게 매일 모습을 변할까 하는 생각을 가져봤다. 학교 시절 배워 당연하게 알겠듯 싶었는데, 영 머리속에 방금 진 태양과 내가 서있는 지구의 모습과 달의 모양이 매일 변하는 모습이 그려지질 않았다. 순간 생각나는것은 황도, 천정, 자전, 공전.....그러나 문제는 그런 용어가 나에게 답변을 줄 수 없었다. 답변을 하기 위해선 확실하게 알아야 되는데, 그러질 못한것이다. 하여 커가는 아들도 있고 당연히 얼마 후면 물어볼것이라 생각이 들어 그래도 그에게는 가장 똑똑한 아빠인데 답변을 못하면 창피할 것 같아 인터넷 검색으로 찾아보니 많은 아이들이 이 문제로 고민하고 있었으며(첨부했듯이 같은 질문을 한것을 보면 그들이 원하는 명쾌한 답변을 받지 못한것이리라) 또한 쉽게 답변을 하는 것도 찾기가 쉽지가 않았다. 그리곤 근 반 시간을 투자하여 작은 그림으로 모든 것을 이해할 수 있게 만드는 답변을 담은 해답을 발견 했다. 즉 내가 머리가 나빠서가 이해를 못했던 것이라 아니라 단순 명료하게 설명되었던 해답이 없었던 것이 문제였던 것이다.

잠시 우리나라의 교육에 문제가 있는 것은 아닐까 하는 생각을 해봤다. 쉽게 이해할 수 있도록 하는 교육도 있는데, 어려운 용어들을 써가며 풀어논 교과책을 보면 한숨이 나온다. 그들은 그 교과책으로 대부분의 아이들이 이해를 할 수 있다고 생각하고 있는 것일까? 그저 우수한 머리의 소수들만 따라가면 된다고 생각하는 것일까? 과연 얼마의 학생들이 그리고 성인들이 매일 보는 달의 모양이 변하는 이유를 명쾌하게 동생 또는 자녀들에게 알아들을 수 있도록 설명할 수 있을까~

그래도 한 때 천체 망원경을 주무르던 꿈 많은 과학도였는데, 그동안 배운 지식으로 이런 간단한 것을 설명하지 못하는 교육을 받았다는것에 부끄러운 마음이다. 그저 달달 과학용어들을 시험을 위해 외었을 뿐 원리를 배우진 못했다. 그리고 그런 선생님들을 만나지 못했다. 지난 교육에서....

귀울림(이명)치료 방법 고찰

어제 갑자기 몸이 으실으실 춥더니 급기야 몸살이 나면서 앓아 누어야 했다. 그런데 문제는 이명이 그동안의 정도를 도저히 참을 수 있는 수준을 넘어 하루 종일을 괴롭힌 것이다.

몇 일 전 이명을 가진 사람의 우울증 동반 확률이 일반인의 4배가 넘는 기사가 나서 우울하게 만들었는데, 몸까지 아프며 ,높은 피크(귀뚜라미 소리와 조금 다름)의 귀울림을 듣고 있자니 한쪽 귀를 아에 들리지 않게 하고싶은 마음이었다.(솔직히 이 방법은 왜 없는지 모르겠다.) 남들은 모르는(별수럽지 않게 생각함) 그러나 본인은 미처가게 만드는 정말 고약한 이명이다.

그동안 이미 많은 자료를 통해 이명의 치료 방법이 없다는 것을 알지만, 그래도 하루를 투자해서 이곳의 치료 방법을 더 찾아보기로 하고 검색을 하니 한국보다 더 많은 자료를 접할 수 있었다. ( 불만 사항은 이곳은 아무도 제약이 없이 서로의 정보를 공유하는 이런 정보를 찾을 수 있지만, 한국은 모임을 만들어 회원을 관리하면서 회원이 아닌사람은 정보 검색을 못하게 하고 있다. 도대체 이해 할 수 없는 일이 아닐 수 없다. 특별한 치료 방법도 없으면서.....) 그래서 나는 블러그가 좋다. 아무런 제약없이 정보를 공유할 수 있기 때문에.

찾는 과정에서, 마늘이 좋을 것 같아 어제 초 마늘을 많이 먹었었는데, 마늘의 부작용으로 이명이 심해질 수 있다는 정보도 찾았다. 진작 알았으면 정당히 먹었을 것이다. 암튼 이곳에 앞으로 남들은 모르는,하지만 도움을 줄 수 있을 것 같은 정보가 있으면 계속 보충을 해서 올릴 예정이다. 정보를 읽고 도움이 되신 분은 답글을 달아주시면 이 지긋 지긋한 이명으로 고생하고 있는 수 많은 이명 환자들에게 도움이 될 것이다.

첨부하면 한국에서는 나와 같이 군대에서 사격으로 인한 소음, 큰 소리로 이어폰 사용 등 으로 인해 이명 환자들이 많은 반면(또는 그렇게 느끼고 있을 수 있는 반면) 이곳은 그런 불평이 없다. 즉 이는 즉 몸의 상태에 따라 이명이 발병 할 수 있는 것이며, (즉 몸이 안좋은 사람이 큰 소음으로 인해 발병이 될 가능성이 더 많은 것이다.)

1. 귀울림과 목근육 뭉침과의 관련.

The muscle that can affect the tinnitus is often the SCM, from what I'veread. I make sure that when I get a massage she focuses on this as well as
ll connected muscles (so the base of the head, neck and shoulders).I also just read in Prevention magazine that a stiff neck is caused by
circulation issues. I had a stiff neck from my desk height and the chair I was using. A doctor in the article recommends, when in the shower, putting
hot water on your neck for 20 seconds, then cold for 10 seconds and do this 3 times, ending with the cold water. I've only tried this a couple time but
I plan on continuing to see if it makes a difference.

이것은 나의 경험에 의하면 100% 관련이 있다. 술을 많이 마신 다음 날은 어김없이 이명이 휠 씬 심하다는 것을 느낄 수 있다. 즉 몸의 상태와 관련이 있는것이다. 그러면 술은 어떤 작용을 몸에 가하는가? 술과 간과 관련이 많은 것을 생각 할 때 간의 알코올 분해 능력 부족 또는 어떤 효소의 부족이 있다는 것을 생각할 수 있겠다. 즉 간을 튼튼하게 하면 이명이 치유되지 않을까 하는 생각을 해본다. ---> 근 두 달 째 술을 끊고 있다. 그런데 어제는 몸살이 나면서 이명이 참을 수 있는 도를 넘어섰었다. 그것은 몸이 약하면 이명이 심하게 된다는 것이다. 즉 이명 환자들의 몸 상태를 점검해 볼 필요가 있다는 것이다.

------> 오늘 병원에 예약을 했다. 월요일 피검사를 받게된다.

3. 비타민A , 비타민12, 아연과의 관련

Vitamin B₁₂ Sheathes Ear Nerves

When it comes to nerves, vitamin B₁₂ plays a special role. The body needs this nutrient to manufacture myelin, the fatty sheath that wraps around nerve fibers, insulating them and allowing them to conduct their electrical impulses normally.

A vitamin B₁₂ deficiency can raise blood levels of homocysteine, an amino acid that is thought to be toxic to nerves. Low levels of B₁₂ have been linked to a number of nervous system disorders, including memory loss, decreased reflexes, impaired touch or pain perception--and, apparently, tinnitus and noise-induced hearing loss.

Researchers from the Institute for Noise Hazards Research and Evoked Potentials Laboratory at Chaim-Sheba Medical Center in Ramat Gan and from Tel Aviv University, both in Israel, looked at a group of 385 people with tinnitus and found that 36 to 47 percent suffered from vitamin B₁₂ deficiency. All of the people low in B₁₂ received injections of 1,000 micrograms weekly for four to six months. At the end of that time, their hearing and tinnitus were evaluated. Fifty-four percent reported improvement in their tinnitus, and approximately one-fourth reported reductions in the measured loudness of their tinnitus, according to Joseph Attias, D.Sc., head of the institute and one of the study's main researchers.

"Vitamin B₁₂ deficiency is somehow associated with chronic tinnitus," says Dr. Attias. "Long-term exposure to noise may deplete body levels of B₁₂ and so make the ears more vulnerable to noise-induced damage."

Most of the people in this study had tinnitus for six years or longer. "It's possible that people who are treated earlier for vitamin B₁₂ deficiency may have more improvement in their tinnitus than occurred in this study," says Dr. Attias.

If you have tinnitus, and especially if you also have memory problems, ask your doctor to check your blood level of vitamin B₁₂, he suggests.

Vitamin A May Aid Hearing

Like zinc, vitamin A is found in high concentrations in the cochlea. "All special sensory receptor cells, including the retina of the eye and the hair cells of the inner ear, depend upon vitamin A and zinc to function properly," Dr. Shambaugh says.

In one study, low blood levels of vitamin A were associated with decreased ability to hear. And in several studies, from 24 to 74 percent of people with tinnitus reported at least partial relief with vitamin A supplements.

"I recommend beta-carotene, which you can take without worrying about toxicity," Dr. Shambaugh says. (The body can use beta-carotene to make vitamin A.) He recommends taking 30 milligrams (about 50,000 international units) of beta-carotene twice a day.

비타민A는 당근 섭취로 충분한 양을 섭취할 수 있으니, 부작용이 없는 당근의 섭취가 좋다고한다. 오늘 저녁 당근 2개를 먹고 잔다. 내일 어떻게 변하는지 봐야 겠다.

For example, according to the Tinnitus Handbook by Richard Tyler (p.370) "Two sound generators are always used... to ensure symmetric stimulation of the central auditory pathways. 헤드라이트 복원(Restore Foggy/clody Headlights)

영화 "2012"를 보고 집에 돌아오던 중 예전과 다르게 헤드라이트 불이 약한듯 느껴졌다. 상향등을 켜야 그런대로 내가 원하는 빛의 강도를 얻을 수 있었다.

하여 헤드라이트를 보니 뿌옇게 변해있었다. 램프를 교체하려 했으나 램프는 들어오므로 헤드라이트 전부를 교체하는데 얼마나 드는지 알아보려고 내 단골 가게인 eaby에 들어가 차의 헤드라이트를 치니 개당 $120랜다. 제길....

Last Sunday on the way home after watching the movie from Greenville I noticed that the brightness of headlight of car was so dim for driver to see at night that I had to turn on the high beam to see the road well to prevent the accident that would happen due to the dim headlight of car. Next day I checked the condition of the headlight and found that the headlight became cloudy. I thought that I could be able to replace it from ebay where I used to order what I need for replacing everything with low price than other like shop but I failed to find the right things what I want. They is selling them for $240.00.

혹시나 하는 마음에 헤드라이트 청소방법을 야호에 쳤더니 샴프와 치약을 섞어 면수건으로 5분만 문질러 주라는 팁이 나왔다.

퇴근하는 마이론을 불러세워서 시작하기 전 상태를 보여주었다. 그리곤 곧 집에 들어와 못 입는 티셔트와 바가지에 치약과 샴프를 원액그대로 섞어

뿌옇게 변해버린 헤드라이트를 닦기 시작했다.

I typed " how to make the headlight clean". Then I found a lot of tips including the shop and so on. While I researching on that I was interested some of the tips using the toothpaste to fix it so I took picture of damaged headlight as some evidence with Myron and started doing as like tips for 10 minutes at home and turned out to be working like tips.

어느덧 밤이 되어 시동을 건 후 테스트를 해봤다. 와~ 엄청 다르게 다가오는 헤드라이트의 개선된 밝기.

After checking the condition of headlight I drove outside to test it at night and felt satisfied with result of fixed headlight because it was improved significantly than before.

한국에서 헤드라이트가 산소로 인해 불투명하게 된 차를 밝견하면 10,000원에 해준다는 사업을 해보는것도 아이디어가 되겠다.

5분 동안 문지르면서 힘든것은 연마기를 쓰면 수월하게 해결 될 것이다.

I think that it can be the item to run the business. It can be done easily by using the grind to polish it.

Hickory Nuts: The "Inside" Story

When I got to the Oak M.T about 2 weeks ago with my famlily while we were on the trail I would be able to find a lot of Hikery nut that was everywhere so I got some of it to use it as massager for my hand. When I get back home with themI become curiouse about the taste of it so I tried to creak it out but it was so difficult for me to crack with each one the way I used to creak by putting each other by hand rather than some of machinery when I creak the walnut so I tried to strike it with a hammer but it was also so hard to creak with a hammer so I told Janice this story of Hikey nut and she found this kind of information about how to creak easily it.

I follow it after reading it but it almost likely hitted my finger.

You can see it how it has a thick sell. That is reason why I struggled to creak it out. anyway after creaking it I tasted it noticed that it has a sweet flavor I do not have smelled it before. I am a person sensitive to order so I can tell exactly how it is sweet.
Now I can understand why there were lots of them. I think that wild animals can't creak them because of the thicker sell.

One of my family's favorite autumn activities is sitting around the fire and cracking nuts . . . but even such a pleasurable pursuit can become pretty darn frustrating when the nuts continually shatter into tiny fragments trapped in the mazelike compartments of their shells. And, according to popular conceptions, one of the worst offenders in the hard-to-husk category is hickory (a member, as is the pecan, of the genus Carya).

Hickory nut meats are rarely found on grocery shelves, simply because the kernels are so difficult to extract in large pieces. But you can forage a bushel of the odd-shaped nuts in one afternoon . . . and then (believe it or not!) shell them yourself to reap mostly large, beautiful nutmeat "halves". In fact, it's my opinion that every fruit, nut, or seed has a hidden "zipper" or "door" somewhere . . . all a person has to do is find the combination and open 'er up!

THE MYSTERY IS SOLVED

A lot of folks think that hickories—which are native to most areas of eastern North America—are well-nigh impossible to crack neatly . . . but if you strike one of the nuts in just the right spot, the shell will fracture along clean lines almost every time. I discovered the secret quite by accident one day while shelling a bowlful: I began to notice that if I struck one of the nuggets in a particular place—ping!—a piece of shell would fly in one direction and bounce off the screen door. I soon found that the predictable breakage pattern was due to the interior architecture (or framework) of the pod itself. A membranous partition—called the septum—divides the kernel in such a way that when a nut is struck near its stem end (where the thickest part of that membrane attaches to the outer hull), the shock waves can travel along the septum and through the shell . . . causing the rugged casing to fall apart in six separate pieces.

AUTUMN FORAGING

Hickory nuts usually begin to drop from the trees in early autumn, as soon as they're loosened by rain or frost. But, if you want to forage a good supply, be sure to head for the nearest grove as soon as the nuts start falling . . . since this wild food is a favorite of squirrels. The plumetailed scavengers are skillful hickory hunters too . . . if you're not quick, they may plunder your entire local crop before you have time to collect any nuts at all!

Take a bucket or sack with you on foraging trips (or just wear an apron with big pockets), and use a small stick to scratch around in the leaves under each tree. Most of the nuts you pick up will still be encased in their rough, dark hulls . . . which have to be removed before you can start cracking them. Some gatherers stomp on their crop to dehusk the "fruits", but I usually pick the sections of the outer coverings off carefully, one at a time. Whichever way you remove the hulls, though, don't throw away those hand-staining pods . . . they can be used as mulch material for your garden.

Park in Greenville

We wanted to see the sunset as it was so clear all day at the park in Greenville so that we went there after seeing the "2012" that was the titel of movie. The problem with visiting this park was the closing time of park. When we went to the car where my wife stayed due to the sick, comeing back for a work she said that someone who rode on the car said that you had to hurry to get of here because of closing time so I tried to get out of park but I found that the gate was already closed with lock by someone so I tried to find the other exit but end in failure so I was out of car in order to go to the main office of the park. When I met him, he said that the park was supposed to be closed at 4:30. I was upset hearing that information about the closeing time at that moment. I think that they should lock the gate after checking the visitor even though that is kind of policy of closing time. On Tuesday, November 10, we attended in a traditional American (South Alabama!!) Thanksgiving Meal at the home of LBWCC's Director, Ms. Laura Elliott in Petrey, AL. 추석 감사절 점심 초대가 LBW 감독관의 집에서 열렸다.

We introduced ourselves to them. When I said something myself to them,I wasn't afraid of telling something than before like I sopke with someone who I have known long time. I used to think a lot before I said something to someone but today I just said what I was thinking about that time. I think that having confidence is important. I have to remember that to improve it.

They were listening to what we were saying. It was ok as they already know that we are ELS students.

The mayor of Petrey welcomed us. It was good to me understanding what he was saying that regarding the famous minister in Korea.

It was nice experience for me to visit to Ms,Laura's house cleaned well. On the way home my wife said that she would like to go Korea where we have a nice home than we have been living in here with a poor quality furniture and so on. I can't ignore the fact that she has been living so well like Ms, Laura.

One of ELS students showed the ablity of her to us. It was so good to know that she has a nice ablity of playing a piano. I never expect that I start interesting in the piano because of her. 대학교에서 작곡을 전공했다는 일원 중 한명의 피아노 연주. 뜻밖의 요청에도 멋지게 연주를 해냈다.

작별 중 그녀는 뜻밖의 제안을 받았다. 높은 피아노 연주 실력을 인정하여 교회에서 연주를 해달라는 (급여를 받고....) 실력만 있으면 어디에서든 살 수 있겠다는 것을 새삼 깨닭게 만들었다.

I won't forget today forever because of her playing the piano so well for us. She was pianist and spouse of the Mayor of Petrey.
It was incredibl knowing that that kind of old piano can play like that with someone who have a quality of playing the piano. She said that It belonged to her husband's mother.

일행의 연주 후 시장 부인의 연주가 시작되었다. 분명 영원히 잊지 못할 것이다. 오래된 피아노에서 저런 맑은 소리, 감정이 배어있는 듯한 소리를 들을 수 있었다는 것에. 그녀는 피아니스티였으며, 맑은 목소리를 가진 가수 였다.

I took it by setting the funtion of self timer of the camera. It tuned out be good. 기념 촬영, 이 순간만이 영원히 기억될 것이다. 너무나 기대이상의 멋진 경험을 갖게해준 Ms, Laura에게 감사했다. I had a most enjoyable meal at her home. Thanks for hospitality during our stay here.

We headed to somewhere without sepcial plan becasue of the nice wether and ended up visiting this kind of museum but we couldn't get into there due to the holiday but it was good to see a lot of kind of retired plans. It looked like they were telling about themself how they were nice when they were in the war.

기대하지 않고, 시간을 보내기 위해서 찾은 Fort..... 생각했던 것과는 달리 모든것들(의상, 신발, 주택....)등 모든 것들이 철저한 고증을 거친듯 했다.

신종 플루 예방과 양파

제니스가 뭔가 중요한 내용의 메일을 받았다며 나에게 보내주었다.

별 기대를 하지 않고 읽어보니, 독감으로 많은 사람들이 죽어나갈 때 의사가 돕기 위해 한 농가를 방문했을 때 다른 집들과 같이 건강하여 이유를 살펴보니 양파를 접시위에 올려놓은 것이 차이점임을 발견하고 그 양파를 관찰하니 바이러스를 양파 속에서 발견했다는 내용이다.

또 한가지 얘기는 아픈 사람 옆에 포크에 깐 양파를 유리병 속에 넣어 옆에 놓아더니 다음 날 양파가 까맣게 변해있더라는 얘기다. 물론 아픈 사람은 즉시 괜찮아지고.

오늘 아침 현석이가 심하게 코가 막혀 고생을 하다 학교에 등교를 했었어서 내심 신종플루 인가 걱정을 하고 있었는데, 이 기사를 읽는 즉시 현석이 방에 깐 양파를 포크에 꽂아 빈 병속에 넣어두고 왔다.

살균 작용을 한다고 하니, 밑쪄야 본전이니 충분히 시도해 볼 만 한 민간 요법이 될 것다.

우연인지 오늘도 양파로 이 제품을 만들었는데(우리 회사 주력 상품) 많이 먹어야겠다. 다음 주에 처음으로 한국에도 수출되는 이 제품이 잘 팔렸음 좋겠다.

In 1919 when the flu killed 40 million people there was this Doctor that visited the many farmers to see if he could help them combat the flu. Many of the farmers and their family had contracted it and many died. The doctor came upon this one farmer and to his surprise, everyone was very healthy. When the doctor asked what the farmer was doing that was different the wife replied that she had placed an unpeeled onion in a dish in the rooms of the home, (probably only two rooms back then). The doctor couldn't believe it and asked if he could have one of the onions and place it under the microscope. She gave him one and when he did this, he did find the flu virus in the onion. It obviously absorbed the bacteria, therefore, keeping the family healthy.

Now, I heard this story from my hairdresser in AZ. She said that several years ago many of her employees were coming down with the flu and so were many of her customers. The next year she placed several bowls with onions around in her shop. To her surprise, none of her staff got sick. It must work.. (And no, she is not in the onion business..)
The moral of the story is, buy some onions and place them in bowls around your home. If you work at a desk, place one or two in your office or under your desk or even on top somewhere. Try it and see what happens. We did it last year and we never got the flu.

I don't know about the farmers story...but, I do know that I contacted pneumonia and needless to say I was very ill....I came across an article that said to cut both ends off an onion put one end on a fork and then place the forked end into an empty jar...placing the jar next to the sick patient at night. It said the onion would be black in the morning from the germs...sure enough it happened just like that...the onion was a mess and I began to feel better.

Another thing I read in the article was that onions and garlic placed around the room saved many from the black plague years ago. They have powerful antibacterial, antiseptic properties.

와이프가 가끔 자다가 쥐가 나서 고통을 호소하는데 당장 오늘 부터 해봐야 겠다.

My husband suffers from leg cramps. We have checked it out with the doctor and tried different nutritional remedies but nothing worked. One night at dinner with friends he was saying that he had been up most of the night with the cramps and a friend said she has the same thing and puts a bar of soap in the bed. No more cramps! I was totally amazed because this was a person who generally doesn't believe in alternative things. She scoffed when I said I was going to try accupuncture.

Obviously I believe in alternative therapies but I had a little trouble believing this could work and so did my husband. He continued to be up at night working out the cramps. One morning he informed me the cramps had been bad, (I slept through it) and he got a bar of soap, put it in the sheets at the bottom of the bed and lo and behold....it stopped them! It has worked ever since.

I have had GREAT success with a few bars of soap under our bottom sheet for a couple of years now. A few weeks ago, the restless leg started again (not charlie horses, but restless leg). I thought back to what was "different", (in daily routine, food, etc.) that might have caused the restless leg to start up again. THEN I remembered that I had not changed my 2 bars of Irish Spring in a long while; I had gotten used to being RESTLESS leg symptom-free for so long a time that I just forgot about the soap.(I also have used other brands, but prefer Irish spring). I changed the soap bars and gradually the restless leg symptoms faded away to nothingness!!!

I noticed that the symptoms GRADUALLY went away when I began using the soap remedy the first time, and they GRADUALLY began again when the soap began to lose its effectiveness. I thought that it might work in reverse and take a few nights for the new soap to start working again. Yep. It was about three, maybe four nights before I noticed that I did not have symptoms any more.

My hubby did not believe me (at first) about the soap "cure"; one night he was having a really bad CHARLIE HORSE; I told him I was going to get my bar of soap from under the sheet. He asked me (between moans of pain) why I would get a bar of soap? and I told him that it works on charlie horses, also. He just laughed, as he moaned in pain. I asked him where it hurt the most and I shoved the bar of Irish Spring under his leg RIGHT where he told me the worst part of the pain was. IF I had tried counting to 10 , I would not have reached it before he stopped moaning and told me that the charlie horse had stopped! Now, HE tells his friends about the soap remedy/cure for charlie horses and restless leg syndrom.

I think it works because the ingredients in the soap have a positive charge. (I am making a guess that the potassium and magnesium and other ingredients in the soap have the positive charge.) I am also guessing that pain and other disturbances create a negative charge (not hocus pocus), but really do create some sort of negative charge, just like our body carries a negative charge, I was told.I think that touching or being near the positively charged bar of soap cancels out the negatively charged pain, etc.

Welcome signs entering Bryson City read Uncrowded. This small mountain town in the Great Smokies of Western North Carloina stays true to that still.

Incorporated in 1887, and named in honor of Colonel. Bryson city is located in Swain County, which comprises more than 40% of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The nantahala river remains a popular whitewater venue. Fontana Lake boasts the highest dam east of the Rockies. There are cascading trout streams, biking and hiking trails, and plenty of restaurants, shops and lodging.

기차 시간에 늦지 않기위해서(적어도 출발 30전에 도착 해야함) 열심히 다른 두 곳을 들려 도착 했다. 30분 전에 이미 많은 사람들이 도착해 있었다.

이른 추위에 모두들 두꺼운 외투들을 걸치고 있었고, 전에 내린 비로 인해 모든것이 빛나는 듯했다. 아이들 앞의 호박들도....

I had to see two places quickly to arrive safely at the station of train. When we got there I notice that there were a lots of people waiting for the train even though we arrived about 30 minutes ago. Travelers were wearing the thick outfit due to the cold weather and it looked beautiful for me to see the everything including pumpkins because it had a rain before yesterday.

열심히 이 책을 읽는 이유는 책을 읽은 후 테스트가 가능하며 100점을 맞을 경우 AR 포인트로 19점이 주어진다. 1점 짜리 책을 19권 읽는 효과가 나며

현식이는 반에서 최고의 AR 점수를 가지고 있다. 하지만 같은 학년에 있는 여자 아이들(이미 90점이 넘음)을 따러 갈려면 더 많은 책을 읽어야 한다.

크리스 마스 전까지 45점을 맞으면 교장 선생님과 맥도랄드에서 점심식사가 있단다..... 현재 그의 점수는 44점.

Hyun is focusing on reading recently. He used to read simple books that don't have a lot of pages but he suddenly chosen the Harry poter that is famous as difficult book for reader to understand but he decided to read it because he might be able to get high AR score by reading a difficult book like it. He became a student who has a the hightest score of AR in his classroom that is reason why his teacher praised him in front of his class mate. I am sure that made him incouraged reading books hard. I have been looking for him changing the habit of reading books from Korean to English expecting his English skill improved including speaking and listening. I am so proud of my son.

기차를 타기 전 여유 시간을 이용하여 폭포가 있다는 계곡에 올랐다.

이른 아침의 적당하게 차가운 온도와, 아침 햇살이 나무사이를 파집고 들어왔다.

많은 낙엽이 싸여 등산로를 따라 걸어갈 땐 마치 카펫을 밝고 있는듯 했다.

일 주일 전에 왔었으면, 보다 많은 멋지게 물들었던 단풍들을 볼 수 있었을 것이다.

모든 나무들의 모습이 아름다웠다.

아침에 듣는 계곡 물 소리가 상쾌했다.

끊어진 글을 찾아가다 들린 작은 동네의 풍경은 마치 그림을 보는 듯 했다. 이 풍경 엮시 일 주일 전에만 왔었어도 하는 탄식을 자아내게 만들었을 것이다.

이런 곳에서 사는 사람들도 불행한 사람들이 있을까~

Deer Creek

Great Smoky Mountins National Park.

차에서 내리는 순간 들려오는 차가운 공기와 섞인 계곡물 소리를 잊지 못할 것이다. 차디찬 계곡에서 흘러나오는 물소리에 음악이 실려있는 듯 했다.

The moment we were out of the car I felt like I was listening to the music of valley. The sound of watcher was so clear and fresh.

누군가는 차로 이길을 지나면서 비처럼 내리는 낙엽비를 만끽했을 것이다. 떨어져 나부라진 낙엽들을 보면서 그 누군가들이 부러웠다

I was so sad so see that the tree already made the leave fall. I am sure that someone who came in when the tree was making the leave fall got satisfaction from watching that. I envied someone who had it few weeks ago.

이날 아침의 기온은 영상 2도 였다. 가을인가 싶더니 어느덧 겨울이 공존 하고 있었다.

무엇이 있다는 것, 그 자체가 움직임을 만든다. 정상이 있다는것, 폭포가 있다는 것 , 그 무엇이든지 좋을 것이다. 뭔가가 있다는 것이 중요하므로....

There are something to go that can make us start exactly. We did as there were falls in front of us and enjoyed the nice scene when we get there.

Juneywhank Falls: From the Deep Creek Trailhead parking area, follow the well-marked trail 1/4 mile uphill to junehwhank falls. The roar of the falls can be heard even before you reach it. An eighty-foot cascade of water starts above you and runs under a log footbridge with handrails, and meets up with Deep Creak at the bottom of the trail.

막상 정상에 올라 찾아낸 폭도는 기대치 이하였다. 그러나 이 폭포에서 떨어지는 물이 합쳐 그 강을 이루는 것을 상상하니 마치 큰 폭포를 대하는듯 했다.

I expected good falls with a large amount of water falling down from a height but it was a small but the imagination of making the river from this falls made me like as I was in front of big falls. It was so good to hear the sound of falls at the early morning.

많은 낙엽이 길에 깔려 붉은 양탄자를 걷는 느낌이었다. 곧 눈으로 이길이 덮힐 것이다.

It felted like we were working on the red carpet becasue of a lot of fallen leaves on the road. It is going to be covered with a snow in a moment.
